Esta semana tendré que entrenar fuerte si es que quiero dar algo de guerra

Jorge está fino fino con su tacto de iRacing. De momento 1:29 altos para los dos en el Gordini, con Cayo a las puertas (1:30.0) en su Maserati

Great kick-off session with the Gordini, including all sort of accidents & crashes

Jorge is looking very strong. His iRacing feeling is allowing him to drive beautifully. So far we are both in the upper 1:29's with Gordini, whereas Cayo is getting closer and closer (1:30.0) as he gets more comfortable with the Maserati

@Jose Mi problema era que tenía el mod instalado hace tiempo, y ahora al reinstalarlo, GEM+ sólo lo reconocía parcialmente. Al reinstalar GEM+ se solucionó el problema

Acabo de dar unas vueltas en el Gordini para ver a qué atenerme, y de momento estoy contento con mi 30.1. Soy completamente nuevo en este mod, por lo que puedo recordar, sólo hice 3/4 de vuelta en Spa '67 hace unos 9 meses, por lo tanto estoy muy contento de que este mod se siente tan natural que hace que el proceso de adaptación mucho más fácil. Usando casi la configuración por defecto, sólo cambié los ángulos de rampa a 30/45, el sesgo de freno a 56% y configuré las marchas en consecuencia.
¿El desvanecimiento de los frenos se modela para cada disco de freno individualmente? ¿Mover la inclinación de los frenos a la parte trasera ahorra temperatura de los frenos?

Aquí hay 3 vueltas de mi conducción, apenas llegué al rojo con los frenos, pero estaba bastante al límite... ¿Alguna opinión?

Editar: 50% de sesgo de freno es mucho mejor, probablemente puedo hacer un medio a bajo 1:29.





@Jose My issue was that I had the mod installed some time ago, and now when I reinstalled it, GEM+ would only partly recognize it. Reinstalling GEM+ solved the issue.

I have just done some laps in the Gordini to see where I stand, and I am happy with my 30.1 for the moment. I am completely new to this mod, as far as I can remember, I only did 3/4 of a lap at Spa '67 about 9 months ago, therefore I am very happy that this mod feels so natural which makes the adaption process quite a lot easier. Using almost default setup, only changed ramp angles to 30/45, brake bias to 56% and set up the gears accordingly.
Is the brake fade modeled for each brake disc individually? Does moving brake bias to the rear save brake temp?

Here are 3 laps of me driving, barely got into the red with the brakes, but I was quite at the edge... Any feedback?

Edit: 50% brake bias is much better, I can probably do a mid to low 1:29.

Note that the brake status cannot be seen in replays. Regarding the driving itself, it looks great and really smooth . You may approach the corners a bit more aggressively by sliding the car at the entrance as a way to slow down the car while saving the brakes too.

¡Deslizarse en las curvas es la técnica que dudaba de hacer al principio, pero hice otra carrera más tarde, usé esta técnica y bajé a un 29,5 en una vuelta de empuje!
Tengo que decir que no sabía si me iba a gustar el mod 55, pero los desafíos únicos en los frenos que todos los fans de este mod señalan son muy divertidos. También creo que este mod me conviene porque no tengo que lidiar con el bloqueo de los neumáticos traseros cuando se utiliza el sesgo de freno bajo ...

Sliding into corners is the technique I was hesitant to do in the beginning, but I did another run later, used this technique and got down to a 29.5 on a push lap!
I have to say I didnt know whether I would like the 55 mod, but the unique challenges on the brakes that every fan of this mod points out is just so much fun! Also I think this mod suits me because I don't have to deal with locking rear tyres when using low brake bias...

Thanks Gaizka, I shall give it a try. You people are faster and you should win but I don't want to be saying goodbye at the rate of a second a lap!

EDIT: 1:29.86 as a qually lap in the 555. Is that about the mark or are your 29s race laps?

I did a 29.5 in quali trim, race trim where I save the brakes a bit more is more like high 29s to low 30s if I get it right. So you are not far off.

We do more vampire hours because of the time difference with the islands and when the little ones no longer require various attentions.

Si no hay problema es fácil que coincidamos en pista 22.15 - 22.30
If no other problems it would be easy to meet on track at 10.15-10.30 pm

Was good to catch last night's practice session.

Looks like my one lap pace is about right but I need to investigate how to keep the brakes and tyres healthy. I found that the right rear melts if I get too enthusiastic and on the last two laps of the short race I had no brakes entering the chicane and had to just use engine braking.

Could be an interesting season.



Fue bueno ver la sesión de práctica de anoche.

Parece que mi ritmo de una vuelta es el correcto, pero necesito investigar cómo mantener sanos los frenos y los neumáticos. Descubrí que la parte trasera derecha se derrite si me entusiasmo demasiado y en las dos últimas vueltas de la carrera corta no tuve frenos al entrar en la chicane y tuve que usar el freno motor.

Podría ser una temporada interesante.

Totalmente de acuerdo, Clive. Las sesiones de ayer fueron de gran utilidad de cara a la carrera de la semana que viene

Mi mayor reto fue el duelo con Paul S. y su Lancia. Iba muy fuera de mi límite pero me lo pasé en grande
Queda pendiente aprender el cómo gestionar los paralelos en la recta zigzag de atrás

En cuanto a tiempos, la escudería Gordini está que se sale. Todos mejoramos y mucho ayer . Llegué a rodar en 1:28 alto tras trabajar en las marchas del setup por defecto. Sospecho que mis compañeros de equipo no tardarán en unirse al club de los 28s.

Esta noche no correré. ¿Mañana tal vez?


I totally agree, Clive. Yesterday's sessions were a great lab for next week's race

My biggest challenge was the battle against Paul S. and his Lancia. I was definitely way over my limit, but sure it was fun!
Another item I need to look into is how to safely handle 2 cars going in parallel through the Lavant "zigzag" Straight

Lap times wise the Gordini squad is looking really strong. We all improved yesterday and I reached the upper 1:28's after applying my first changes to the default setup (mostly the gearbox). I suspect my teammates will soon join me in the 28's club.

No practice for me today. Maybe tomorrow?
