Normas / Rules

• Evento contrareloj en las siguientes condiciones
  
  Modo pro - en modo pro no es posible reiniciar
  2 horas de clasificación
  Los pilotos saldrán la primera vez por turnos a intervalos de 2 minutos según el orden de mejor tiempo acreditado hasta el domingo
  Tantas vueltas como quieras dentro del periodo de 2 horas.
  Si alguien te alcanza, tienes que dejarle pasar
  La salida será justo después de Creg en la larga recta antes de Brandish, tal como el servidor de entrenamiento está en este momento
  Para salir por segunda vez y sucesivas se deberá esperar 2 minutos mas tras la salida inicial del último piloto participante
  Además deberá verificarse que no hay ningún piloto completando vuelta aproximándose a ese punto y en cualquier caso se rodará por la derecha de la pista atento a no molestar
  Daremos las puntuaciones de posición de clasificación como posición de carrera y no habrá puntos especiales para pole position, vuelta rápida, consistencia y remontada
  
  Time trial event under the following conditions
  
  Pro mode - under pro mode rules there is no [shift]+[r]
  2 hour qualification period.
  Riders will start the first time in turns at 2-minute intervals according to the order of best accredited time until Sunday.
  As many goes as you like within the 2 hour period.
  If someone caught you, you must let them pass.
  The start will be just after the Creg on the long straight before Brandish, like the training server is right now.
  To start for the second and subsequent times, an additional 2 minutes must be waited after the initial start of the last participating driver.
  In addition, it must be verified that there is no driver completing a lap approaching that point and in any case, the driver must ride on the right side of the track, taking care not to disturb anyone.
  We will give qualifying position scores as race position and there will be no special points for pole position, fastest lap, consistency and highest climber.

Some early offline testing in my books. Some minor errors...and I really don't know the last 1/3 of the course very well...have me in so far with a best of 22m03s with the Vanwall. Should be able to manage a 21m30s effort with some more practice.

Yo por ahora no he conseguido empezar a entrenar ... he estado verificando como nos organizamos con Targa el año pasado y si hacemos la misma formula la cosa quedaría así

- uno con el punto de salida en boxes, bueno mejor en Governor's_Bridge, Km 59645, que empieza algo antes de boxes, concretamente 2 curvas antes de la recta anterior a la salida
- otro con un plan de inicio planificado por fecha desde el 27 de Mayo hasta el 14 de Junio:

In training I start just after the Creg on the long straight before Brandish. That gives me a few km to warm the tires.

For an online race meeting I made a track.ini with stalls along the same straight on the far right of the road. Worked fine.

I had a couple of laps online last night.

The pit boxes work well.


Whenever I have organised events here they were run as a time trial like the real event.

We had a two hour qualification period and took it in turns to go at 1 minute intervals. As many goes as you like within the 2 hour period.
If someone caught you, you let them pass because they were already 1 minute ahead.

There is not enough space for close combat, so we never had a race at the end.

Yo prefiero el evento propuesto en el que lo que vale finalmente es la carrera aunque pase como en Monaco (1996!) que es muy dificil adelantar.

De hecho puedes correr la carrera sin clasificar un tiempo y en función de los avatares de la misma puedes optar a un resultado sorprendente

I was in a UKGPL Sports Car race a couple of years back that was run with a proper race format with entries starting off from the grid as per normal. It turned into a nightmare. A car would shunt off ahead of you and leave you no room or chance to avoid. It was a given that you would be collected and forced to reset. Rather spoiled it all.

I'm for the qualifying format of two hours.

yo voy dando vueltas, 1 o 2 cada día, para intentar aprenderlo. fuera de línea, para poder resetear y no estar siempre volviendo al principio. aun no he completado ninguna con un solo coche.
prefiero el formato q propone Paul, el formato carrera me parece muy difícil que funcione. podemos hacer una carrera el martes para ver si es factible, de cara a próximos eventos.

I'm doing practice, 1 or 2 laps every day, to try to learn it. offline, to be able to reset. I have not yet completed any single lap with only one car.
I prefer Paul's format, the race format seems very difficult to me to work well. We can do a race on Tuesday to see if it is feasible, in view of upcoming events.
