Hace mes y medio rodé un par de tandas. Después de morir mil veces, logré terminar una vuelta con incontables excursiones mas allá del asfalto, logrando bajar de 45 min por los pelos. Así que estoy a sólo 5 min del mejor tiempo, un sub 40 de Pedro van den Berg

Para mi sorpresa, ésta no es mi primera vez en el Targa. Tengo un tiempo con el Porsche 910 (mod GT67) con fecha de marzo del 2011. Ni lo recordaba, así que ya podéis imaginar cuánto me sé el circuito por el momento

My turn
Around mid-February I did a couple of training sessions. After dying a thousand times, I managed to complete a lap (that included lots of touring outside the tarmac) under 45 min. As a result, I am only 5 min behind Pedro van den Berg's best time here: 39:55.010

Much to my surprise, this is not my first time in Targa Florio. I have a lap time set with the Porsche 910 (GT67 mod) that dates from March 2011. I remember nothing about it. Same goes for the track

I haven't even got Targa in my GP55 install as yet so it will be a clean sheet of paper to try. However, I do have numerous laps in other mods so don't expect any surprises.

Got a chance to lay in my first lap in the Vanwall today. Some minor dramas but nothing serious. Cut a 43m48s lap but...

I started to run out of fuel in the last village and drove for about 4km before I even realized the tank was running dry. At the top of the main straight, I was wondering why I was only pulling about 6K revolutions but a glance at the fuel pressure read showed only 6psi. GULP! No option but to stop and reset to finish this initial lap. My gearing was rather tall for the most part and I'm looking to make 2nd and 3rd gears much handier in further trials.

I've been practicing the Targa and set a 43m01s lap just this morning with no dramas on realistic damage.

I enjoy the benefits of having run the Targa numerous times in other mods for other league races so it doesn't present any surprises. I'm still a little shaky in some sections but not much.

What will be the format for our up-coming race? Straight out start from a grid with all runners formed up or by best overall lap time? We'll be running realistic damage?
