Congratilations to Gaizka, Paul, Jorge and Tago.

Amazing pace from Gaizka in the Vanwall and Jorge in the Gordini.

I made it to lap eight in 2nd spot when I tried to accelerate too hard with one foot on the dirt and the Lancia spat me over a dirt bank.

I was lucky to escape from there but Paul, Jorge and Tago were through.

I had hopes of catching Tago and Jorge but my concentration was poor by then and I made more mistakes.

Bravo to our podium! Gaizka with yet another stunner of a drive. Paul a good P2 with Jorge right in his shadow for P3. Well done, chaps.

Bad luck indeed for Ricky in going inverted. He was still upright when I passed his Ferrari but an instant later, it was game over.

A conservative drive from me not wishing to bin the Vanwall but pleased to see that I scored no '64' laps and notched up good consistency. In the early laps,I had Martin just up ahead and I was hoping to tag along but by mid-race, he had motored off into the distance. I was able to pull some distance on Xuggy in the first laps but soon, he was filling my mirrors and clearly anxious to pass. That is a tough ask around this twisty circuit as it presents few good opportunities to engineer an overtake. As long as I didn't make a crucial mistake, it was going to be very difficult for Xuggy to pass. I felt a little guilty about holding him up. Not a lot, you understand. Just a little. Got down to the last lap and I managed to hold Xuggy off to score my fastest ever lap here and a P7 placing. All in all, all that I could have asked for.

Gracias por la carrera.

Usé mi configuración Bremgarten que parecía funcionar bien.
Empecé 4° y terminé 2° pero solo porque los muchachos de adelante se cayeron de la isla.
La pista tiene muchas zanjas y taludes para terminar la carrera, así que estaba feliz de terminar esta.

Bien hecho Gaizka y todos los finalistas.

I used my Bremgarten setup which seemed to work OK.
I started 4th and finished 2nd but only because the guys in front fell off the island.
The track has plenty of ditches and banks to end the race so I was happy to finish this one.

Well done Gaizka and all finishers.

sobretodo en los entrenos, viendo como Gaizka bajaba los tiempos de una manera impesionante
especially in practice, seeing how Gaizka was dropping the times in an impressive way

Yo conseguí afianzar un buen ritmo para una carrera que a 11 vueltas prometía ser difícil de acabar y en la que acabamos 8 de los 10 en parrilla
I managed to set a good pace for a race that promised to be difficult to finish at 11 laps and in which we finished 8 of the 10 on the grid

Así que rodé en mis mejores tiempos y me beneficié del pequeño fallo de Clive para pisparle la posición
So I rode in my best times and took advantage of Clive's small mistake to steal his position
