Muy buena sesión de entrenos ayer para ver cómo sobrevivir en un circuito en el que la gestión de frenos nunca es suficiente.
Espero mucho sufrimiento en carrera así que quizás haya ¡más abandonos que en Solitude!
¿Primeras referencias? 1:34. Hoy debería caer el 33. Nos vemos esta noche en las FP

Nice & very valuable sessions yesterday I must say.
In a track where, believe it or not, I fear a bigger attrition rate than at Solitude, it was very useful to practice how to survive with traffic and little to no brakes

Tried to race, but made a mess of the double left-hander in the middle of the lap and got stuck in the wall. Developed a steady pace in the 1:37s to 1:36s with more potential, not too bad. Already missed the start though because I was busy chatting and forgot the timer, then was in panic fror the right amount of fuel...

En la calificación tenía una clara ventaja con el Lancia sobre Gaizka en su Vanwall, y la pista, con sus amplias salidas, se adaptaba a mi estilo speedway.

Esperaba una carrera más reñida, pero después de un par de vueltas tenía 3 ó 4 segundos de ventaja sobre el pelotón y pude gestionar mis frenadas sin la distracción de luchar por la posición.
Cuando estás solo delante, es difícil mantener la concentración. Mi mente divagó un par de veces, pero la mantuve en lo negro.

Hacia el final de la carrera, Gaizka se ha acercado a un par de segundos, así que esperaba un ataque, pero después de adelantar al tráfico he salido mejor y he ganado un segundo, así que el ataque no se ha producido.

Enhorabuena a Gaizka y Martin por sus podios.

In qualification I had a clear car advantage with the Lancia over Gaizka in his Vanwall, and the track with it's wide exits suited my speedway style.

I was expecting a closer race but after a couple of laps I had 3 or 4 seconds lead over the pack and was able to manage my braking without the distraction of fighting for position.
When you are out in front on your own, maintaining concentration is difficult. My mind wandered a few times but I kept it on the black stuff.

Towards the end of the race Gaizka closed to within a couple of seconds so I expected an attack, but after we passed some traffic I came out best and gained a second, so the attack did not happen.

Well done Gaizka and Martin for the podiums.

Carrera muy interesante para mi porque esta pista me gusta aunque no sé bien por qué motivo

Con Paul y Gaiz intratables en sus tiempos y ritmo, mi pelea se iba a centrar en Martin y Enrique pronto se acopló a nuestro ritmo o incluso mejor
With Paul and Gaiz unbeatable in their times and pace, my fight was going to focus on Martin and Enrique soon matched our pace or even better.

Desde la salida estuve siguiendo a Martín y Enrique tras unas vueltas me superó, luego tras otras más superó a Martin y con el rebufo del primero se empezaron a escapar
From the start I was following Martin and Enrique overtook me after a few laps, then after a few more he overtook Martin and with the slipstream of the first one they started to get away.

Más adelante Enrique tuvo algún problema esta vez serio (lástima ) y con algún desliz de Martin consegui volver a rodar con él

A 4 del final tuve mi opción de pelear la frenada de T1 pero me fui algo largo y ahí quedó saldada mi cuarta posición final

tuve una hermosa pelea contra mezcua y martin, después de mi muy malisima partida que me hizo perder 2 posiciones, la pelea fue contra ellos dos, pude pasar a mezcua en la frenada de la t1 y después la cacería se centraría en martin, la cual dominaba a la perfección la frenada de la t1 y era muy superado por ello, solo me quedaba jugármela mas fuerte y empece a ahorrar mas freno para ello y lo logre, pero a la siguiente vuelta el y su maravillosa frenada se puso a la par mía y en un acto de finura milimétrica, agarramos la t1 lado a lado cosa que técnicamente para este juego es imposible en esa clase de curva sin tener un solo roce...( los milagros existen si señor)
y después de esa curva seguimos lado a lado era increíble la pelea que tuve en ese momento, pero creo que martin soltó al llegar a la curva dos ( después del salto) y ya la pude agarrar bien, de ahí en adelante era apretar ese acelerador lo mas que pude para tratar de sacar una ventaja, y lo estaba logrando, con unos 5 segundos de diferencia, baje un cambio sin el frenado acostumbrado y exploto mi motor, que idiota que soy por dioooo, ya tenia el 3 puesto en el bolsillo, por que alcanzar a esos dos aliens de adelante era imposible......
de todos modos me encanto esa pelea con ambos corredores y esa entrada a la t1 que creo que va a ser inolvidable para mi, grandiosa...
nos vemos en la próxima y felicitaciones por tan linda carrera.

ENGLISH:

I had a beautiful fight against mezcua and martin, after my very bad game that made me lose 2 positions, the fight was against the two of them, I was able to pass mezcua in the braking of t1 and then the hunt would focus on martin, which I perfectly controlled the braking of the t1 and was greatly surpassed by it, I just had to play it harder and I began to save more brake for it and I achieved it, but on the next lap he and his wonderful braking caught up with me and in an act of millimeter finesse, we grabbed the t1 side by side, which is technically impossible for this game in that kind of curve without having a single rub...(miracles do exist, yes sir)
and after that turn we continued side by side it was incredible the fight I had at that moment, but I think Martin let go when we got to turn two (after the jump) and I was able to grab it well, from then on it was just press that accelerator I did as much as I could to try to get an advantage, and I was doing it, with about 5 seconds difference, I downshifted without the usual braking and my engine blew up , what an idiot I am for God's sake, I already had 3rd place in my pocket , because reaching those two aliens in front was impossible......
In any case, I loved that fight with both riders and that entry to T1 that I think will be unforgettable for me, great...

Después de tanto tiempo con el coche en boxes , estas dos carreras para mi han sido un poco de toma de contacto con la alta competicion
Ya empiezo a rodar con cierta seguridad y un minimo de rapidez , lo cual me permite empezar a divertirme.
Me ha pasado igual en las dos carreras que he disputado ( Solitude y esta) se me han hecho demasiado largas, en las dos cuando ya estaba en los últimos compases de la carrera y rodando desahogadamente sin presiones delante ni detrás ya con el único objetivo de acabar , voy me relajo un momento y se acabó , dos accidentes mortales .

Lo estoy disfrutando tanto que hasta me he comprado un volante nuevo , que ya me hacia falta tambien.

Un abrazo y no corrais tanto

Hello ,
After spending so much time with the car in the pits, these two races have been a bit of a contact with top competition for me
I'm starting to ride with some confidence and a minimum of speed, which allows me to start having fun.
The same thing happened to me in the two races I've contested (Solitude and this one) they've been too long for me, in both when I was already in the last bars of the race and riding freely without pressure in front or behind with the sole objective of finish, I'll relax for a moment and it's over, two fatal accidents .

I am enjoying it so much that I have even bought a new steering wheel, which I also needed.
