After Jose crashed I waited for Doni but then my shifter started messing around.
At first I could not get 4th and 5th and then it stopped down shifting so I was stuck in 3rd.
When I spun at the hairpin the car was nose against the barrier and I could not shift into reverse so that was all she wrote.
Today I found the culprit.
Small hands have been pushing screwed up sweet wrappers down the gap in the shifter gate stopping it's full movement.
I won't go so far as to say that I bribed those of 'small hands' to act as my agents provocateur/saboteurs by nobbling Paul's shifter with sweet wrappers. No. Rather, let's just say that it boiled down to undisclosed, pre-payments of said sweets prior to the race to those in close proximity to Paul's racing rig with a mere suggestion as to where to stuff those discarded wrappers.
Well... What can I say... A victory in the Pease Eagle was certainly not even on the horizon for my expectations. I was just happy to get it around this challenging street circuit without ripping off a wheel. So easy to do here. Sorry to see that it claimed Tago and Tommie. Quico seems to have suffered a disco. I knew that Paul was just playing a cat & mouse game but in the closing stages, I was wondering why he wasn't moving in for the kill. That he suffered some damage to his Lotus might have explained it but it was becoming a real head-scratcher. Then... He showed as a lap down on my pit board and I knew that he was in real trouble.
I'm no follower of astrology but I would have to think that the Sun, the Moon, the planets and the stars were all in a once-in-a-lifetime alignment for me yesterday.

Disfruté mucho la carrera mientras duró ... le pude dar batalla a Paul saliendo desde 2ª posición y cogiendo el liderato en T1 ... conseguí rodar bastante bien aunque sabía que Paul estaba ahi para aprovechar cualquier hueco y en efecto en vuelta 11 encontró en la subida a recta de meta uno muy bueno ... luego conseguí coger el interior para iniciar la bajada en paralelo con Paul y al tocarnos yo perdí una rueda en el guardarail
Parece más un toque inventado por el gpl que un desliz de Paul ... yo si que estoy invadiendo algo el lado que no me toca ... vamos que ese no es el mejor sitio para intentar paralelos

I really enjoyed the race while it lasted ... I was able to give Paul a battle by starting from 2nd position and taking the lead in T1 ... I managed to ride quite well although I knew that Paul was there to take advantage of any gap and indeed on lap 11 he found a very good one on the climb to the finish straight ... then I managed to take the inside to start the descent in parallel with Paul and when we touched I lost a wheel in the guardrail
It seems more a touch invented by the gpl than a slip of Paul ... I'm invading something on the side that is not mine ... come on, that's not the best place to try parallels

El martes tenía que viajar a Portugal, pero la misma conjunción planetaria que hizo que Doni finalizara su excelente carrera con victoria, hizo que mi viaje se retrasara un día, así que al final pude correr.
En calificación, empecé a rodar en seguida en 30s por lo que estaba animado. En una vuelta me di cuenta de que el pirula me marcaba 29s, y me debí venir arriba, porque al paso por meta vi un 28. Increíble!. Pero el server se debió sentir molesto por tanta osadía, y me echó a la calle. Eso echó por tierra la posibilidad de calcular la gasolina por vuelta y mirar temperaturas y presiones, así que el setup ya no admitía más vueltas de tuerca y por supuesto, la vuelta, una sorprendente pole, no quedó registrada.
En la carrera, salí regu, pero sin preocuparme por ello, y me quedé cuarto, a la espera de coger ritmo. El salto lo hacía mal siempre, y en lap 3 hice medio trompo en la horquilla, pero no perdí de vista al grupo de cabeza y me acercaba a ellos. La carrera prometía mucha diversión, porque me veía con ritmo para estar en el lío. Repentinamente los tres desaparecieron. En ese momento oí una campanada. Esperaba que en cualquier momento volvieran a aparecer, pero en lugar de ello, seguían sonando campanadas. Cuando sonó la campanada número 12, todo desapareció, mi carroza, los 420 caballos que tiraban de ella y todo a mi alrededor era diferente... Por lo menos los 420 ratones no estaban.

On Tuesday I had to travel to Portugal, but the same planetary conjunction that made Doni finish his excellent race with a victory, caused my trip to be delayed by a day, so in the end I was able to race.
In qualifying, I started lapping right away in the 30s so I was encouraged. On one lap I noticed that the pribluda was setting 29s, and I must have come out on top, because when I crossed the finish line I saw a 28. But the server must have felt annoyed by so much audacity, and threw me to the street. That ruined the possibility of calculating the fuel per lap and look at temperatures and pressures, so the setup did not admit any more twists of screw and of course the lap, a surprising pole, was not registered.
In the race, I started not so well, but without worrying about it, I was fourth, waiting to get into a rhythm. The jumping was always bad, and in lap 3 I half-spun in the hairpin, but I didn't lose sight of the leading group and I was getting closer to them again. The race promised a lot of fun, because I thought I had the pace to be in the mess. Suddenly the three ahead disappeared. At that moment I heard a chime. I expected them to reappear at any moment, but instead, the chimes kept ringing. When the 12th bell rang, everything disappeared, my carriage, the 420 horses pulling it and everything around me was different.... At least the 420 mice were gone.

No se a qué patch te refieres. Tampoco tengo un gran control de mis ficheros exe ya que el gpl al completo va migrando de un ordenador a otro y va funcionando. Recientemente vi que la falta del patch 4gb podía estar afectándome, y lo he instalado, pero no estoy seguro de si algunos exe lo tenían ya. Como ahora estoy en Portugal, no puedo estar seguro de cómo están mis exe files de Madrid, pero creo que los problemas son de conexión, ya que los CTDs suelen venir precedidos de las desapariciones, intermitentes o continuadas, de los demás coches, y solo suceden on-line.
La gráfica no creo que esté 100x100 configurada para el gpl, pero no creo que sea la causa de los CTDs.
Cuando vuelva a Madrid en Septiembre, será el momento de atacar todo esto en serio y si es necesario, cambiar el TP-Link que tengo conectado USB y que siempre me había funcionado bien con el anterior ordenador, por una tarjeta para internet.

I don't know what patch you mean. I also don't have much control over my exe files since the entire gpl migrates from one computer to another and works. I recently saw that the missing 4gb patch might be affecting me, and I've installed it, but I'm not sure if some mods exe's already had it. Since I'm in Portugal now, I can't be sure how my Madrid exe files are doing, but I think the problems are related to the connection, since the CTDs are usually preceded by the disappearances, intermittent or continuous, of the other cars, and only they happen online.
I don't think the graphics card is 100x100 configured for the gpl, but I don't think it's the cause of the CTDs.
When I return to Madrid in September, it will be time to attack all this seriously and if necessary, change the TP-Link that I have connected to USB and that had always worked well with my previous computer, for an internet card.

Track Gap Freeze Fix Patch v.09 by Lee (Lee200 at srmz) Paul se refiere a este que también tiene que instalarse y habilitarse en las máquinas de los clientes o sea en la tuya Paul refers to this one that also has to be installed and enabled on the customer's machines, i.e. on yours.
Es importante que la habilites tu y todos los que no la tengais! It is important that you and all those who do not have it enable it!
