2024 Summer Fun Races

I have organised some summer break fun events for GPLRACER including a time trial at Jim's I.O.M. All here are welcome to join

I have decided to stay with GPLRACER normal day/start time Tuesday evening 20.30 CET start ( 19.30 UK time )

Server = GPLRACER 36 fps


Details

REVERSE GRID RACES - 4 races - 55mod, 66mod, 69x mod, 67 sports cars ( gplxsc )

30 minute qualification followed by 30 minute ( approx ) race.

Free car choice.

Pro mode ( no reset )

Grid reversed after qualification.

Points :-

Qualification points -
1st = 6
2nd = 4
3rd = 2

Race points -
1st = 9
2nd = 6
3rd = 4
4th = 3
5th = 2
6th = 1

Bonus points -
Finish the race without being lapped = 6 points
DNF or lapped = 0 points

I will calculate and post results and points after each or the 4 races.
Most points at the end wins.



TIME TRIAL at Jim's Isle Of Man using 65 mod

90 minute online session.

Free car choice.

Pro mode ( no reset )

Pit boxes a few km before the start to allow one flying lap ( if you wish )

Take turns ( joining order ) to pit out at 1 minute intervals.

If someone catches you, let them pass as they are already 1 minute ahead of you.

Take as many laps as time allows.

Best lap wins.

No race.

REVERSE GRID RACE - 55 mod at Monza ( monza10k )

I shall try to do a couple of the events but with the RACER forum having moved I don't seem to be able to find a password that meets requirements.

Can I just turn up anyway?

Yes Clive no problem.
No sure why you can't join GPLRACER @ SRMZ. I was able to use my old pass from the old forum.

We are not using passwords for the fun events so they are effectively open anyway

Next race is on Tuesday evening at Goodwood using the 66mod

That may present you with a problem in a race where everyone has to pile out to iGOR after qually.

I have been doing a few laps at Goodwood.

Hi Clive. we do not leave the server after qually. The grid is reversed in the track.ini

Tago, congrats for winning this year's GPLRacer summer series!

Paul, I believe your scores at VIR & Goodwood should be amended (6+3+6=15 & 6+4+6=16 respectively). Same goes for Tony's score at Goodwood (2+3+6=11) & Desulgon's scores at Spa (4+0+0=4) & Monza (6+4+6=16).
If so, the final standings should look like this:
