So, any idea what times Keni and Gaizka are banging in at Silverstone?
Thinking that I will probably need a Maserati to give their Gordinis a run for their money.

My best is 1:44.23 in the Maserati.

Esta temporada me gustaría conducir el Ferrari 625 (o el Vanwall en caso de que haya de bajar un escaloncillo). Efectivamente, no tengo muchas ganas de rodar con el Gordini o el Connaught

Ideally I would like to drive the Ferrari 625 this season. Otherwise, I am considering the Vanwall. In other words, I am not very motivated to take the Connaught or the Gordini.

Supongo que, con esta elección, muchos os decantaréis por los Maseratis, Lancias y Mercedes (W196 o W196 SL), pero confío en que los pilotos punteros se mantengan en las monturas que he citado al inicio, quedando el Ferrari 555 a caballo.
I suspect this will push quite a few drivers to Maserati, Lancia & Mercedes (x2), but I hope that the fast drivers remain in the initial set of cars I mentioned, with the Ferrari 555 in between.

¿Qué os parece? ¿Veis viable esta elección para todo un novato como yo?

Any thoughts? Do you think this sounds like a feasible option for such a rookie like me?

P.S. Esta semana he rodado en 1:44s (qualy) y 1:45s (carrera) con el Ferrari 625.
This week my Ferrari 625 lap times were 44s (qualy) & 45s (12 laps race).

Well hell. I was setting up a 625 but will probably move to Mercedes. I'm turning 46's in the 625. No chance to give Gaizka any competition.

If I can run 45's in the Merc I'll be happy.

Gave the Vanwall a try after feeling the Ferrari 625 was performing better than expected. No luck. I hit the 43s with both of them this evening.

Not tried the Gordini yet then?

It was made with Uber Aliens in mind.

I find the Connaught to be better than the Vanwall but that may just be down to setups.

¿Aún no has probado el Gordini?

Fue hecho con Uber Aliens en mente.

Creo que el Connaught es mejor que el Vanwall, pero eso puede deberse a las configuraciones.

I shall just have to pedal faster in the Maserati.

I don't have much time to spend on this selection, at the minute, as I must concentrate on preparations for Nassau this Sunday in UKGPL. Nassau is a more demanding circuit than Silverstone in the 55s so I will see how things pan out in the qualifying sessions on Monday and Tuesday.

Hells bells. I thought the race was today.

Had a lot of fun watching Gaizka and Pablo race. Learned a little as well. At least I have another week to fiddle with my setup and driving style. Probably wont help much.

Como avanzaba esta tarde en el grupo de WhatsApp, ayer ya vi que el Ferrari 625 y el Vanwall eran demasié pal body. Así que otro Connaught para mí, por favor.
Yesterday I realized that the Ferrari 625 & the Vanwall were more competitive than I expected. So Connaught it is!

Aunque reacio en un principio por no parecerme estar conduciendo el mod 55 con este coche, hoy le he dado unas vueltas y no me ha desagradado, así que ¡avanti!
Despite not being very enthusiastic about this car, I gave it a try this midday and it went alright. Besides lap times were fine (1:44s), it was the feeling I was worried about. In my previous experiences, it did not really felt like I was driving the 55 mod. Luckily enough, that does not seem to be the case any longer so ready or not, here I come!

P.S. A ver si es verdad lo que decía Blood en WhatsApp y se nos apunta alguién más. Miguel Palud acaba de rodar en 43s con el Connaught

Earlier today Blood was gossiping in WhatsApp that more participants may join the championship. Miguel Palud just did 1:43 with Connaught in Silverstone. Coincidence?
