Divertida 1ª carrera siguiendo a Sergio sin poder pasarle y acabando 3º.

Fun 1st race following Sergio without being able to pass him and finishing 3rd.

2nd race:

Well, the GPL is like that. At this moment he understood that Doni and I had to collide. I think there was room for both of us.

I waited for him (it was a mistake to wait) and I went down to the hairpin without following a clear line, which confused Tago who collided with me and lost a wheel.

In lap4 and after several spinning tops, I broke the engine. Thanks Blood for passing me the jinx. Let's see who I pass it to now.

To me Quico  and sorry for the touch ... you can also take a photo in which it seems that your car is going to go straight and then turns to steal me one wheel ... by the way return the wheel :prrr:

Great night at Jarama

Don't like the circuit, don't like the cars, no practice and no setup.

If it were not for the excitement of trying to get Tago's convoluted points system sorted for GPL Weekly I probably wouldn't bother!

Having said that, I did enjoy trying to keep everyone behind me in race two.

I gave Keni too easy a job because I was so shocked to find that the car in my mirrors wasn't red that I spun. That dropped me to 3rd and I had a good long battle with Doni until I selected neutral and gave him an easy pass. :(

Then I found that Xavier was still behind me and I just about managed to fend him off to the finish!

At least I like Oulton Park, although I have a 55mod race on Sunday and all of my efforts this week must be in that direction.

Congrats to Keni and Doni. Sorry to Xavier for getting in the way but when I'm the slowest car on the track it's the only card that I can play.

:cava: grats, Blood :primero::primero: Sergio :segundo: Doni :segundo: Tron :tercero: & Clive :tercero: :cava:

Well, it was a fun night, we were very even and there were good fights, except Blood ahead, which almost doubled us all in the second race. In fact, in a photo of the group in T2, L1, you can't see him longer. We need to think longer circuits for next season
In first race I did not get a good lap in Q so I was the last, I could only overtake Clive in an error and race the second half of the race close to Tago without getting any results because he did not let, not for lack of attempts.
In the second one, a silly mistake in Pegasus soon left me at the end and I recovered until I get close to Clive for the rest of the race, just like before, without being able to pass despite doing all the pressure I could.
See you in Oulton, which I also really like.

Poco entreno veo yo :piloto:

Please explain the Jarama points allocation.

I would have said that Keni should have the point for recovery in race two, not me. Also Quico didn't make half distance and so should not have a point for 6th?

GPLRA report says the recovery point is for you, maybe it counts from lap 1 on, not right from start? :nose:

Apologies for the late filing on this, chaps. I've only just recovered from a drunken stupor that consumed the entire week since our Jarama rounds. Drunken stupor? Sure! Placing second in the feature was beyond my wildest dreams! WOOHOO!

The heat race unfolded pretty much as expected and I was satisfied with a P4. The feature was starting off well til a bump from Quico sent me to the back on Lap01. Swell. It was looking like 22 laps of misery. As historically I do rather poorly at Jarama, it was SOP(Standard Operating Procedure). Almost immediately, though, my fortunes started to improve. Poor Tago lost an engine in the Dino. Quico spun away his chances. Keni was picking off people with great ease and cruised to another easy win. Admirable stuff there. On Lap05, Xuggy had a serious off going up the hill at Pegaso to lose many positions. Soon, I found myself chasing Sergio but he spun coming off the tricky Pegio and ended up virtually stranded. He stuck with it, though, I finally managed to find a way back to the track for a decent finish. This all left me chasing Clive who was going well in his Brabham. I could scarcely believe that after only seven laps, I was back up into a possible podium placing. I had very little chance to make a pass and just waited for an opening. That came on Lap13 when in rounding the double right-hander after Ascari, I heard Clive's engine screaming away as if he'd suddenly been presented with a gearbox full of neutrals. That pretty much was the case and before he could select a gear, I was by for P2. The remaining laps wound off with Clive not far off my tail and Xuggy staging a recovery to threaten.

All in all, a very luck boy.

I must make mention that for me here in Canada, our races come about in the late afternoon. Tomorrow for the Oulton Park go, in the early afternoon, I'm obliged to make an important medical appointment for vascular tests where, if previous experience holds, I'll be in pretty rough shape following. There's every chance that I'll be a DNE/DNS. If don't make it, best of luck to all!
Those who do not learn from history will be condemned to relive its mistakes.
