Pues yo me tuve que salir en la quali pero creo que no fue por CTD sino para quitar el modo buzón y poder ver los retrovisores.

Un 34 en la calificación, aunque sea altísimo, es para estar contento, digo yo.
Y salí muy bien, o eso pensaba yo. Solté el embrague y las revoluciones se mantuvieron cerca del máximo... todo bien, pero me pasaron como aviones, primero Clive y luego Petr. Menos mal que a Aitor ya no le dio tiempo. Aguanté media docena de vueltas cerca del grupo de cabeza (que empezó a perder efectivos) hasta que cometí un error en la frenada gorda del 3er parcial y les perdí de vista, mientras que Birle seguía estando pegado a mi... hasta que una vuelta después tuvo un “problema” en las eses en subida del 3er parcial y ya le distancié un poco.

A 6 vueltas del final, delante de la primera zona de boxes, toqué tontamente los pirulos de la izquierda, aunque en la repe estoy separado de ellos, pero el coche aguantó la trayectoria y pude acabar. Yupiiiiiiiiii.

Lo bueno es que corrí sin los marcadores del Pribluda que me acaban distrayendo siempre, y no sabía lo que estaba pasando por ahí, aunque algo me olía. Pero claro, no que se había ido todo el mundo, menos Gaizka que me esperaba en meta con una cervecita (el ya se había duchado y tomado otra).

No te preocupes Gaiz, no me darán los puntos, pero ¡yo estuve allí!



Well, I had to leave in quali but I think it was not because of a CTD but to remove the letterbox mode and be able to see the mirrors.

A 34 in qualifying, even if it is very high, is to be happy.
And I did a good start, or so I thought. I released the clutch and the revs stayed near max ... all good but they passed me like airplanes, first Clive and then Petr. Luckily Aitor didn't have time to do so. I endured half a dozen laps near the leading group (which started to lose troops) until I made a mistake in the fat braking of the 3rd partial and lost sight of them, while Birle was still glued to me ... until one lap later he had a "problem" in the rising esses of the 3rd partial and I already distanced him.

Six laps from the end, in front of the first pit area, I foolishly touched the pins on the left, although on the repeat I'm separated from them, but the car held the path and I was able to finish. Yupiiiiiiiiii.

The good thing is that I ran without the Pribluda markers that always end up distracting me, and I didn't know what was happening there, although something smelled to me. But of course, not that everyone had left, except Gaizka who was waiting for me at the finish line with a beer (he had already showered and had another).

Don't worry Gaiz, I shall not get the points, but... I was there!

Olvidé felicitar a Blood y Clive (que suena rollo Bonnie & Clyde ) por su maniobra en la chicane del Paseo del Embarcadero en la 1ª vuelta. ¡Qué exquisitez!

Un paralelo en una zona complicadísima... sin haberlo entrenado antes (Blood por lo menos), sin Clive haberse preparado el adelantamiento (al encontrarse con la posibilidad de sopetón), sin ambos haber soltado los nervios de la 1ª vuelta y Blood con el corazón disparado tras no morir milagrosamente en la curva anterior.
¡Qué temple!

I forgot to congratulate Blood & Clive (sounds like Bonnie & Clyde ) for their maneuver in Paseo del Embarcadero's chicane on the 1st lap of the race. Such a delicatessen!

Both went side by side in one of the most complex parts of the track... without having practiced it before (Blood at least), without having Clive prepared the overtaking (the opportunity arose all of a sudden), with both still carrying the adrenaline from the start plus Blood's heart racing away after having miraculously survived in one piece a crash into the barriers in the previous corner.
Amazing skills!
