Enhorabuena Tago Sergio y Doni

Hoy era mi día ... estaba cómodo en pista ... entrenamos esta pista con Gaizka hace un año y por eso la conozco bien ... así que esta victoria se la dedico ... va por ti Gaiz y por esos grandes ratillos juntos

Casi logro la pole porque consigo superar el 35 de Doni ... pero no contaba con el 35 bajito de Quico

En la salida Juan Luis da banderazo rápido y salgo bien ... tras Quico soltando nervios ... hace un pequeño trompo y me deja en cabeza ... luego Sergio tras unas vueltas puede meterme el coche en T2 le dejo bien el sitio pero luego fallo la de T3 y procuro perder poco por la hierba ... quedo P3 detrás de Doni y Sergio que ha tomado la cabeza

Intento durante unas vueltas que no me dejen atrás ... se compacta el grupo y tras un leve fallo de Sergio me quedo detrás de Doni

Rodamos las siguientes vueltas buscando yo por donde podría Doni cometer un fallo (si es que eso fuera posible ).. y entonces tras su rotura de motor me quedo en la cabeza .. lástima Doni ... esas vueltas yendo detrás de ti son fantásticas no he visto la repe pero debo haber hecho la vuelta rápida gracias a ti seguro

Ahi empezó lo dificil de la carrera ... no cometer fallos de concentración ... Sergio venia a 7 segundos quedando 17 vueltas ... intenté no perder concentración y el gap creció ... así que lo dificil fue no perder la concentración .. sobretodo cuando ya vi que no me seguia nadie a 10 del final

I left him well the place but then I missed the T3 and tryed to lose little by the grass ... I was P3 behind Doni and Sergio who took the lead.

I tried for a few laps not to lose contact ... the group was compact and after a slight failure of Sergio I stayed behind Doni

I drove the following laps looking for where Doni could make a mistake (if that was possible ).. and then after his engine failure I stayed in the lead... too bad Doni... those laps behind you were fantastic I haven't seen the replay but I must have done the fastest lap thanks to you for sure

That's where the hard part of the race started ... not to make mistakes in concentration ... Sergio was 7 seconds behind me with 17 laps to go ... I tried not to lose concentration and the gap grew ... so the hard part was not to lose concentration ... especially when I saw that nobody was following me with 10 laps to go...

Very disappointed to see my Climax 4-banger go up in smoke. I must look at the replay cap to see if I over-revved it somewhere. I was actually...for the first time...enjoying a run at this venue. In previous races here with other leagues, it's been a real chore. I quite like the first half of the circuit but from there on, it becomes a hit-or-miss proposition with more often than not, a miss. Some indication of that comes from the fact that my 1966 Eagle/Climax lap times are only a couple of tenths off my very best in a 1967 BRM P115 and that after a lot of practice. Another concern with this venue is how do you avoid scoring a '64' in GPLRA? That's an indicator for an 'off track' lap. I've practiced with driving straight down the middle of the road for entire lap and it still comes up with a '64'. It's almost like it seems a random chance factor. Ah, well...

Grats on the win to Tago! You were showing great pace and I had my doubts about holding you off for the entire race distance. Of course, a hole in the side of my engine block settled that issue in no uncertain terms. Quico's dramatic exit on Lap04 is a bit of a shocker! I had no idea that those marker boards were set with killer collision boxes. Ouch!

Anoche hice algo que nunca antes , en los años que llevo corriendo , habia hecho , abandoné a falta de doce vueltas .
Llevo unos meses que no me da la vida para nada , pegándome unos hartones de currar salvajes . Anoche estaba realmente cansado y estuve a punto de no correr , pero saqué fuerzas de donde no las hay . Cuando vi que Tago estaba a una eternidad por delante , y que por detrás ya no quedaba nadie , decidí retirar el ferrari y quedarme con la segunda plaza aunque no acabara la carrera .
Estaba realmente agotado y además no le había cogido el ritmo al circuito . Anoche fue un sufrimiento desde que bajó la bandera hasta que me retiré , lo siento .......
Espero andar más fino para Pukekohe .

A pesar de llevar el coche que creo que es el más rápido de la categoría, me encontré subiendo por la tabla de clasificación con muchas dificultades. Me metí en boxes y cambié los amortiguadores delanteros de 2-3 a 3-3, con lo que esperaba más suavidad en las trazadas (o algo así). Pareció funcionar ya que justo al final salió esa vuelta que era PB y pole.

La salida me volvió a pillar dormido, aunque fuisteis muy considerados y me dejasteis en paz. Después vi que se me había olvidado apagar los carteles del pribluda y empecé a quitarlos. Lo contrario a estar concentrado, vaya. Hice el trompo en el que me pasó Tago, y al empezar lap 4 me comí los carteles que hay a la salida de T2, supongo que ayudado por la subida de dureza de los amortiguadores delanteros que había hecho en la calificación ya que el morro no tiró padentro en la curva.

Algo identificado con Sergio en lo que dice. No tengo una vida difícil, pero sí complicada, lo que traducido a gpl es que antes de la carrera solo hice tres sesiones de media hora, llevándome la mitad el conocer el circuito. Muy poco entreno. A las diez de la noche llego justito y la calificación se debió llevar las energías que me quedaban. Y eso a mi nivel. Lo que dice Sergio, prefiero ni imaginármelo.

Enhorabuena Tago, aunque no me hubiera matao a las primeras de cambio, no creo que te hubiera podido dar mucha guerra. Eres realmente rápido aquí y mucho más consistente que yo.
