I wanted to create a new GPL install for 65mod but I don't seem to be able to get as far as a clean 67 install.
It is on Windows7 and I don't recall any problems with the install for 55mod.
Any ideas? It gets as far as looking for a player and then stops working.
Can't create new GPL install

Sorry to learn that you're having a bit of bother with that, Clive. I have been on W10 for ages so can't say what is needed for a W7 platform. It seems odd that you can have it kick in for the 55's but close you out for trying to get a new install for the 65's.
I have numerous installs for assorted mods and always initiate them from a base install that is foolproof. After copying it over to a working directory, I can rename it and enter. There, with my old driver/player already firmly entrenched, I can create a new driver/player name. Don't usually run into a problem.
Please keep us informed as to your progress.

Those who do not learn from history will be condemned to relive its mistakes.
My advice is to forget about the Windows 7 system, and focus on the mod. I had always problems installing the 65 mod, but always got it working after a while, doing this and that. Is GPL, isn't it?
