No me fiaba de los conejitos y forcé en la quali para asegurar la pole. Da lo mismo. En la salida, llegué a T1 en 4ª posición. Clive, Sergio... y Kol! me adelantaron. La carrera de Spa fue una dura lección. Me salí por torpe con las manos, pero la verdadera culpa la tuvo no plantearme la carrera en serio. Aquí intentaría que no pasara. No me puse nervioso al ver a los Connaught irse a lo lejos y me centré en Kol. No tardó en dejarme el camino libre. El siguiente era Sergio, pero hace una semana me había confesado que estaba hasta arriba de trabajo, y pensé que igual no tenía la consistencia acostumbrada. Cierto, tampoco tardó en dejarme pasar. Quedaba Clive, a lo lejos...
Pico pala me fui acercando, sin locuras, y ya detrás suyo aguanté hasta que la situación fuera claramente favorable. Creo que fue al final de la vuelta 14 que le cogí la aspiración en la recta y le pude pasar. No consiguió aguantar mi rebufo (supongo que habría calentado las ruedas aguantando delante mío) y me distancié poco a poco, así que no fui agobiado en ningún momento. Al final muy contento de conseguir acabar una carrera con la cabeza fria y casi sin errores, y encima ganando!.
Muy contento también de ver que casi todos habíais acabado -y aguantando el tipo- que es lo realmente apetecible de las carreras. Una parrilla estupenda.

Slowly I was approaching, without follies, and behind him I held until the situation was clearly favorable. I think it was at the end of lap 14 that I caught the aspiration on the straight and I could pass. He could not hold my slipstream (I guess he would have overheated the wheels holding in front of me) and I distanced myself little by little, so I was not overwhelmed at any time. In the end, very happy to finish a race with a cold head and almost no mistakes, and winning!
Very happy also to see that almost everyone had finished -with a good performance- which is the really appetizing of the races. A great grid.
