ATENCION

Plis help.
no corrais que es peor...

Thanks to Sergio, Quico and Tago for some great track time last night. It makes it so much more fun when you don't have the track to yourself!

Oh dear. :(

I haven't had a good look at the replay yet but I must say a big apology to Xavier for ending his race. After tangling with Jani I was left facing the wrong way in the start of the "canyon" section and my efforts to turn around were a disaster. I think it was "brain-fade". I always seemed to be in the wrong gear to do what I wanted and ended up running back across the track into his path.

Apologies also to Jani and Sergio at the same incident.

Congratulations to Dani on a great drive and to Jani for a good recovery.

Quico was obviously "sandbagging" before the race but came up with a fantastic time in qualifying. :aplauso: Not sure what happened to him in the race.

I don't think that I drove a decent lap until one lap from the end! :(

:cava: grats Doni :primero:, Jani :segundo: & Clive :tercero: :cava:

Bad luck yesterday in a circuit that I like very much and in which I thought I could do it well: the day before, practicing alone because my connection was not fine  I felt very comfortable and improved my Lotus PB with the BRM almost one second.

But I arrived late and immediately realised that I had lag, bad :cabreo: On the best lap, I had a warp and the server recorded a time of 4m24.968s when pribluda said 2m11s, bad :cabreo:

At the start, I let everyone pass because I looked unstable, very bad :mascabreo:, in fact, a few seconds before the flag, for a few moments I saw myself alone and I was convinced that I had been disconnected, but you all came back in time :D

Throughout the first lap, the communicative situation improved and I tried to get close to David and start an attack. The premature casualties of Trooper :( and Tagomago :( allowed us to improve positions, but in L5, on the ascent to The Cutting, we saw a yellow flag but no, because the climb just ended there, a crossed car (it was Clive, that, as he says, was trying to resume the race: NP, nothing to object to, Clive, the track is narrow there and you could not maneuver to move away, I could have slowed more and I did not do it in time.) A seemingly light touch left me with a tricycle, and that was all :(
Anyway, it was not my day.

I had trained, times more or less came out and I got the pole. The only problem was the start, next to me was Clive, who started better than me, and came earlier to T1. Maybe he thought I was closer, and instead of taking the line, he left the interior free. That time he lost, just because of sportsmanship, I took advantage of it as a worm to pass him and arrive T2 in front of the field.

From there, it was just clenching teeth and staying focused. I began to take distance and my only enemy was concentration (I thought so) until halfway through the race I found myself suddenly looking at the main menu of the gpl. I left the game, and went to take care of my dog.

Congratulations to those who had fun until the end, especially that podium ... what envy!

Woohoo, what a race. Bathurst is an all time favourite, I knew it would be a great one.
Grid was a bit tight, I took a safe start. I had a good dicing in the first laps, then that regrettable collision with Clive.. I waited for him and let the whole field pass me in the process. Still there were plenty of laps to finish, so not all was lost.
Two laps later I made a mistake in T1 and spun...
Dead last again, but I kept my head down and started to gain on others. There were no further problems till the chequered flag, and with a string of fastest laps I could end my day on the podium.
Congrats Doni on your victory! Thanks all for the race! And thanks for the hosting :)
See you next race!
