....Y por fin, por fin, despues de hacer muchos Kilómetros...¡¡¡Estoy en una A!!!...(Aunque no sin sudarlo....)

Toda la semana por aquellos condados de Dios...(mejor dicho...de La Reina...) y sin poder entrenar ni dos vueltas...
Ayer, por fin, y ya con ganas, llego a casa a las cinco de la tarde despues de comer con my family para intercambiar impresiones (como por ejemplo que la vida tambien es cara ahí aunque ganen más pasta....¡¡¡y encima no tienen sol!!!.... )
Me estiro un ratillo para digerir la pizza zampada entre pecho y espalda y una hora más tarde me meto en Silver para ver como estoy y si hay feeling...
Mi sorpresa es que estos dias sin Rfactor y sin Gpl han sido provechosos...(Ahora entiendo a Manel cuando dice que tiene...¡¡que necesita desintoxicarse!!.... ). Me siento comodo con el Braby y con los setups OR del año pasado. Enseguida marco un 30 con gasolina para 10 vueltas. Eso no es especialmente bueno (los cracks estarian 2 segundos por debajo...)...pero es bueno porque me acuerdo de los puntos de frenada, no me salgo y porque los neumáticos me aguantan bastante.

Completo una serie de 10 vueltas con confianza y rápido a ver los padres de Ana...

Y llega la noche...y la crono...:
Comienzo marcando un 29 pero, como Manel, en algun punto del circuito la lío y no consigo el 28 que quiero....Me voy poniendo más nervioso y finalmente decido provar hasta el final con poca gasolina por si sale un tiempo más aceptable...no es así y... ¡¡¡vamos pá la race!!!

Juanli que baja la bandera y arranco bien...creo que paso a Quico o Josele y me situo detrás de Xug, pero no tengo espacio por donde pasar y me quedo esperando mejores ocasiones...llegamos a T1 y veo que el de Eagle se empareja con un Lotus y pal monte...En esas Manel, que ha apurado la frenada como un condenao en T1, me sobrepasa y ahora lo tengo delante. El jefe delante del currele .

Por detrás creo tengo a Josele pero a una distancia prudencial.Voy tranquilo siguiendo al Boss esperando que ataque al de delante y asi poderme aprovechar. Creo que él iba con ritmo para hacerlo. Lo veía bastante bien. Pero en Lap 3, creo, le explota el motor delante de mis narices...Lástima tio...confiaba en ti para merendarnos a unos cuantos....

Sexto y en posiciones de A, pues, en la vuelta 3.

Karakol, Chemazo y Jorge, a esas alturas, ya habían tenido sus respectivos problemas...por eso yo estaba tan arriba..

Hasta lap9 que viene el susto (como no...) de la jornada....No sé porque este año estoy teniendo tanta mala suerte...me gustaría que Aubrey me psicoanalizara porque daría para una tesis...
Joan, gracias por tus disculpas. La verdad es que flipé un poco cuando nos dimos...no lo entendía...en ese momento hasta pensé que fué culpa mía...tras el impacto rezé a la Reina para que no perdiera una rueda o volcara...y creo que me escuchó porque el Braby funcionaba igual de bien...Aunque tampoco entiendo como se te fué de atras, tio, si tampoco ibas tan rápido...¿Lagazo?....

Lo dicho, afortunadamente vivito y coleando pero con la renta que tenía perdida con los que venían por detrás: Xug, Josele y Quico.
Me situo a espaldas de los dos primeros y delante de Quico. Veo que Xug adelanta a Josele...yo me acerco a sus tubos de escape y en Lap 14 lo consigo pasar limpiamente. Quinto en ese momento y acercándome a Xug.

Las últimas vueltas detrás del Eagle pero sin querer presionar mucho. Íbamos a un buen ritmo y faltando tan poco no podíamos desaprovechar la ocasión de pasar a la A después de su incidente en la salida y del mío con Derrapa.

Felicitar a los que hemos pasado, como el SeñoritoOgle, que bien se lo mereció y a Alex porque fue un líder muy sólido.

Lastima Manel...ayer fue tu Braby quien dijo basta...(y en ti no es normal romperlo...). Y lástima por también la mala suerte de Chema y Kol...(Chema...no se como te lo haces pero siempre vas que te las pelas en Silver....)...Y Jorge..¿que te pasó?...¿Te encontraste una pirámide en el circuito...? (Ya dirás que tal el peazo viaje.... )

La salida, vaya. Salgo bien pero los chondas de danich y chorch me pasan limpiamente por la izquierda. en esa 1ª vuelta adelanto a kol en la frenada de stowe. ya veo que no va a tener el día

Con algún percance más de carrera, en la L4 ya voy 3º, hasta que en L5, en stowe, hago un bendito trompo, de esos que hago siempre, en mitad de la curva quedando en el interior. O es un vicio de conducción o producto de conducir con pad o defecto de setup, o todo junto, pero los hago siempre. Pero gracias a ese trompo el coche me empieza a sonar bien (sigo con problemas de sonido, aunque diferentes) y me han adelantado 5, pero ahora voy más cómodo, lejos de serginho, xug y josele con un honda también en el baile, creo.
Me voy acercando al grupo vuelta a vuelta. Josele ha quedado el último del grupo. somos 6º y 7º.
Se tropieza en T1 en lap16 y le esquivo pero trompeo y me recupero antes que él. En L17 hago un trompo en becketts (de esos que hago yo) y me adelanta josele.
y en L18, en la frenada de becketts, me lo como, con la mala suerte que vuelca. De pronto yo iba a toda leche y el estaba parado (no es cierto, pero es lo que parecía) el pie del freno me saliò por el radiador, pero aun así no conseguí parar y le acabé dando “un empujoncito” que un instante después se convirtió en josele dando volteretas por el aire ¿¿¿??? desproporcionado para el golpe que fue, pero así es el gpl, ni siquiera pretendía adelantarle ahí.

Lo resultante es que se ha quedado fuera de la A, porque aunque le hubiera adelantado, yo entré 5º y él hubiera quedado 6º, y si no, hubiera hecho 5º él.

No fue lo único malo. En ese momento, 6º y 7º es lo mejor de la carrera. Son los que se la están jugando. Se dan muchas vueltas en el gpl para tener momentos así. En una B, a 6 vueltas del final el lío es entre esos dos puestos si se da que vayan cerca y se lo tengan que currar. Bueno, ocasión desperdiciada.

Josele, lo siento, quedaste 8º pero considérate 7º. Si no pudieran correr dos la A, correríamos los dos, pero si falla uno, corres tu en mi lugar. (me surgiría un ineludible viaje a la mongolia inferior a ver si quedan ovejas por allí)

Ogle este año me vas a tener que regalar un jamón. Gracias a todo esto, vuelves a la A. Menudo morro.


PD: Una curiosidad malsana: ¿se sabe quién ganó la carrera de karakoles que se celebraba en la pista de hierba contigua a la nuestra? creo que Kol iba bien Kolokado...

No existen las desconexiones instantáneas. ¿¿Seguro que no fue un CTD?? (crash to desktop)

Es fácil de distinguir:
- Una disco te saca de carrera pero sigues en el GPL (éste te pregunta si quieres reconectar).
- Un CTD te envía directo a Windows y el GPL ya no ta.

Creo que huelgan más comentarios. Aunque no soy nada proclive a este tipo de pensamientos, me está dando por pensar que estoy gafado, dado que en las tres últimas carreras he cosechado dos trompazos y una desconexión.

Si no llevo mal la cuenta, ya van al menos tres desconexiones este Campeonato (esto es también un mensaje para cierto equipo que va en cabeza de la tabla... cómo me acuerdo ahora de esos puntos... )

Por lo demás mi crónica podría ser una copia de la de Sir Ginho, porque tras el viaje, cansado, etc... me encontré delante del volante para la qualy y decidido a disfrutar al máximo y que saliese lo que saliese.

Pero el setup que tengo para este circuito me sienta como un guante!!! Tras unas tres primeras vueltas desastrosas en las que cometí casi todos los errores imaginables, de repente empecé a tener muy buen feeling, y vi un 28:06 en el Pribluda (los 27s tenían que salir con unas pocas vueltas más), e hice un 28 medio que me colocó en sexta posición en la parrilla, a 1 CENTÉSIMA de Dani Torre!!!

Genial. Sencillamente genial.

La salida, muy limpia, se nota que es un circuito ancho y que ibamos todos con precaución. Pude pasar a dos pilotillos y no sé cómo (y no me acuerdo porque ayer está envuelto en una gran nebulosa) me encontré segundo, detrás de A. Vaello, que ayer tenía la carrera controladísima, muy holgado, controlando el gap delante. Me empezó a presionar Mr. Ruiz, que tenía muy buen ritmo con el Lotus. Se me acercaba muy peligrosamente en un par de curvas (especialmente en la primera porque hacía la última curva mucho mejor que yo ), pero más o menos había alguna otra zona en la que me distanciaba, y en T1 le tapaba todo el interior en la frenada (pero sólo con un cambio de trayectoria...) con lo que pensé en intentar aguantar hasta que pudiera coger más ritmo con menos combustible. Después de dos carreras volando por los aires, no me iba a dejar pasar facilmente.

Pero, como ha relatado Jose Mª, en una vuelta, en T1 frené un poco más tarde, pude entrar en la curva pero un poco pasado, y al ver que me cogía por el interior, abrí gas con idea de mantenerme paralelo a él para la siguiente de izquierdas, e intentar aguantar por el lado bueno, pero metí la rueda en la hierba e hice un 360º del que yo sali bien parado, pero él no.

Me pasaron algunos pilotillos pero después (tampoco me acuerdo muy bien cómo, os lo juro) me puse segundo otra vez a unos 440m. de Mr. Vaello, que iba controlando el ritmo a la perfección. Entonces vinieron unas vueltas de consistencia hasta que empecé a ver con preocupación como todos los coches de la lista del Pribluda se ponían rojos, y

Desconexión y se acabó todo.

Lo siento por los puntos para el equipo (además con la rabia de que seguramente habría acabado segundo y me hubiese quitado un poco la espina de las dos últimas carreras), y además creo que en la A podría haber dado guerra, pero así son las carreras!!

Pero me lo pasé pipa.

Enhorabuena al podio y a los que terminaron.

Estoy muy satisfecho… ¡cómo no, si me voy a llevar el premio a la piña más tonta del campeonato!

Mi objetivo era terminar la carrera y tirar un buen curricane, a ver si algún pez gordo de los de delante tuviera algún percance y pescarle la posición. Y casi funciona, jeje.

Califico el penúltimo. Todo el banco de pescado en proa. Antes del banderazo Derrapa se va medio metro y me regala una posición antes de salir… jeje, el primero al saco, ¿eh que sí, Derrapa ? Al final de la primera vuelta también se han quedado por detrás con problemas Vega, Xug y KKL. No va mal esto de la pesca. Otros tres bien gordos. Salí el 15 y voy el 11. Intento mantenerme cerca de los de delante hasta que empiezan a tirar fuerte y me quedo entre dos aguas, con mi compa Piconero por detrás. En la vuelta 4 paso a Alberto y a Jose María que tienen percances y me encuentro con que voy 9º. Dos más, esto funciona.

En la vuelta 7 me encuentro a Grego Liñán con problemas y me coloco 8º. Otro al saco… ¿otro? Que te crees tu eso. Grego se pega a mi cola, me doy cuenta de que le voy a durar lo mismo que un bocata a mi perro y elijo un sitio seguro para que me pase. Pero en la vuelta 9 me encuentro otra vez a Liñán medio parado y le vuelvo a adelantar. Le llego a coger 10 segundos pero en una vuelta y media me recorta 4. Ante todo tranquilidad, Mach_ote, que llevas el saco lleno de pescao. Si no puede ser 8º pues 9º y yastá.

Y tan tranquilo estaba que me despisté en Abby, me fui por la hierba (como muchas otras veces) y cuando estaba volviendo a pista sin problemas aparentes no se cómo pero entré en modo Chiquito de la calzada y mientras decia joooooooooool me estampé en el muro justo enfrente de la granja, sin saber exactamente qué había hecho, mientras los borreguitos me decían: pescador pescaaaaaado, pescador pescaaaaado. Y ahí acabó todo. Pero al menos he conseguido puntuar y me lo pasé fenomenal, ya no me acordaba de estos raticos, jeje. Ahora, a ver si consigo que me funcione Monjuitch. Saludos.

Por fin me salió una carrera realmente divertida!
Desde la última posición al reiniciar en T1 ("el que va por fuera siempre sale perdiendo, etc.") hasta P3 al final, hubo mucho para disfrutar. Hice una carrera consistente, relativamente rápida (23 segundos, casi 1 por vuelta, mejor que mi A del año pasado, q fue P11), sin ningún fallo importante, weeenoo, algunas frenadas demasiado apuradas en Club...
Las 12 o 13 primeras vueltas fueron vertiginosas, mejoraba la posición a cada paso por meta Aunque hubieran abandonado 2 menos por delante y Sergi me hubiera pasado, me habría clasificado para la A!
Las 11 vueltas finales fueron perdiendo tensión, suele pasar en la B. Sergi se mantuvo detrás, al principio íbamos P5 y P6 (ahí me resistí a un primer ataque y él decidió mantenerse detrás: me dio la tranquilidad de que controlaría que estábamos seguros), luego P4 y P5, y mejor aún al final. No quería hacerlo ir demasiado despacio para que no quisiera deshacerse de mi, así que mantuve un ritmo aceptablemente ligero y así fuimos hasta el final. De hecho, tengo una consistencia muy buena, algo raro en mi, q casi nunca dejo de hacer alguna recogida de setas. En fin, contento de no perderme una A, espero mejorar algo aún, porque con el ritmo que tengo sé que no podré quedarme ahí...

Hoy he tenido toques y golpes con media parrilla de todos los cuales asumo la responsabilidad y os pido disculpas a todos.

Bueno, he conseguido terminar que no es poco...

Había corrido una pachanga el domingo y a mitad de la misma rompí motor. Y hoy en la qualy hice pronto una vuelta cercana a mi PB con el Jonda y entonces me puse a rodar con el setup para la carrera y a las pocas vueltas rompí motor, así que por si acaso hice un retoque de última hora alargando todas las marchas para intentar evitar una rotura en carrera.

Por mi zona la salida fue limpia y pronto me coloqué alrededor del puesto 11. Los de alante se me iban poco a poco y por detrás tenía a Danich, que hizo un trompo a las pocas vueltas, pero se rehizo rápido y se puso detrás mío poco antes de que yo cometiera el único error de toda la carrera. Me pasé de frenada en T3 y de pronto Danich desapareció de mis retrovisores. Seguí por la izquierda para encarar T4 y no le veía ni por la vista lateral ni por el retrovisor y en la recta siguiente no estaba. Al ver la repe vi que entre T3 y T4 él estaba en un ángulo muerto en el que no le podía ver y por un instante nos acercamos bastante y el GPL y sus choques online fantasma hizo el resto echandole de la pista.

A partir de ahí estuve controlando a Ferchu primero y después a Quico que eran mis más inmediatos perseguidores y lo pude hacer hasta el final obteniendo la novena posición, que no está nada mal tras marcar la 18 vuelta rápida en carrera.

Enhorabuena a Schumi, Aubrey y Carral por el podium. Nos vemos en Montjuich.

No podría haber ido mejor

En la qualy, a la segunda vuelta lanzada me sale un buen tiempo, que ya sería incapaz de mejorar por mucho que el pribluda me hiciera soñar con ideales. La espera hasta que se terminara la sesión con Aubrey a 0.03 de mi tiempo fue agónica.

En la salida... Aubrey me arrebata en escasos metros la primera posición, freno tarde y por fuera en T1 para aferrarme a la segunda posición. Lo consigo. De ahí en adelante me mantengo cerca de Aubrey y me pongo a la expectativa a ver qué ritmo lleva y cuánto achuchan los de atrás. Veo que el perseguidor es Javi Carral, pero pronto crece aire de por medio entre mi Cooper y su Honda.

Aubrey rueda fino fino, demasiado fino! Cuesta seguirle, y así transcurren las primeras 6 vueltas, viendo cómo suben la temperaturas de neumáticos y del motor. Pero en la vuelta 7 u 8 Aubrey comete un fallo a la salida de Abbey, se pega un susto de muerte y no dudo en atacar. Me pongo en primera posición con una diferencia de un segundillo escaso al pasar por meta. Me concentro al hipermaximum para ver si consigo evitar que el Brabham me coja el rebufo, con unas vueltas sin errores, y décima a décima lo consigo.

A partir de ahí imagino que Jorge sacó la calculadora super CASIO de nuevo y puso el modo cruise

Me limité a intentar mantener un ritmo constante para evitar la cagadita del Jarama que me privó de la consistencia, y pa casita! Rasco unos puntines más, que se siguen antojando pocos con lo poquino que queda.

Felicidades pues a Aubrey y Javi Carral por el podio, y a los que acabasteis y/o disfrutasteis.

Pronto habrá que empezar con los mind games, a ver si Aubrey aguanta la presión
