Congratulations to the podium. I think that we may have to ask Gaizka to tow a caravan!
Great effort by Enrique to be just five seconds off at the end.
I had a good start but my early fight with Enrique caused more damage to my brakes that I was aware of and as a result I ran out of stopping power and had a half spin, letting the world and his friend back past me.

En la primera vuelta he intentado presionar a Gaizka porque sabía que era más rápido.
En la última horquilla de la derecha de la pista me pareció ver que Gaizka empezaba a hacer un trompo en la salida, lo que me hizo perder de vista lo que debía hacer, así que hice un trompo por simpatía y caí al fondo de la parrilla.
En un momento dado estaba en un dado con Doni y otro coche cerca del final de la vuelta. Al intentar frenar en una curva tenía los frenos en rojo, así que me tiré a la hierba del vértice con la esperanza de evitar el contacto.
No creo que haya golpeado a Doni, pero tal vez el movimiento lo puso fuera de línea porque lo perdí en mis espejos después de eso.
Todavía no he comprobado la repetición, pero si ese fue el caso... lo siento Doni.
Más adelante en la carrera tuve una bonita batalla con Jorge.
He podido recortar distancias pero luego he tenido otro trompo, esta vez en la T1.
Después de recuperarme perdí más tiempo y me conformé con mi puesto hasta la última vuelta, cuando Jorge cometió un error y volvimos a estar cerca.

In the first lap I tried to put some pressure on Gaizka because I knew he was faster.
At the last right hairpin of the track I though I saw Gaizka starting to spin as he exit which took my eye off what I should be doing, so I spun in sympathy and dropped to the back of the grid.
At one time I was in a dice with Doni and another car near the end of the lap. As I tried to brake for a turn I had red brakes so I threw it onto the grass of the apex hoping to avoid contact.
I do not think I hit Doni but maybe the move put him offline because I lost him in my mirrors after that.
I have not checked the replay yet but if that was the case... sorry Doni.
Later in the race I had a nice battle with Jorge.
I was able to close the gap but then had another spin, this time at T1.
After recovering I had lost more time and settled for my place until the last lap when Jorge made an error and we were close again.

¡Primera carrera con mi nuevo G29! Lo recibí el miércoles pasado, y aunque no soy tan rápido y consistente con él como con el gamepad, ya es muy divertido de conducir.
En la sesión de clasificación, conseguí un buen remolque en una vuelta y estuve a punto de hacer una vuelta en menos de 3:20, pero al final me quedé corto.
Salí 5º y tuve una buena apertura, y estaba en la cuarta posición cuando Paul hizo un trompo. Antes de que eso ocurriera, José había hecho un movimiento espectacular (al menos desde mi punto de vista) sobre mí en la T1, ¡que merece cierto crédito! En mi pantalla ya se dirigió a mi coche como si el GPL hubiera detectado una colisión, pero ambos salimos ilesos.
En las siguientes vueltas intenté por todos los medios volver a adelantar a Jose... En efecto, te debo una gran cerveza, probablemente más que eso. Lo siento mucho, te merecías al menos un top 5 en lugar de un DNF. Triste
Eso ocurre cuando se levanta y se arrastra en una zona de frenado para ahorrar frenos y mantener una distancia segura con el coche de delante, y luego se olvida de accionar realmente los frenos... Tal vez pensé demasiado en ahorrar frenos. Triste
Intenté volcar a José porque aterrizó sobre su techo, pero cuando lo conseguí, pude ver que había perdido una rueda trasera...
Después de eso, traté de bajar la cabeza en mi coche, de alguna manera intacto, y fui capaz de conseguir algunas vueltas consistentes con una conducción buena y consistente, pero en dos ocasiones me pasé y terminé haciendo un trompo, por lo que llegué a casa en sólo la 6ª posición después de luchar hacia el final y conseguir Quico en la última vuelta ... Aunque sólo porque él cometió un error, esa podría haber sido su posición.
Gracias por organizar y acoger, felicidades a Gaizka por una actuación sobresaliente de Gordini, a Enrique por un enorme P2 con la vuelta más rápida mientras seguía a Gaizka, y a Jorge que mantuvo intacto el legado de la banda Gordini, aparentemente sin ninguna práctica real... ¡Qué actuación! First race ever on my new G29! Just got it last Wednesday, and though I'm not as fast and consistent on it as I am with the gamepad, it is already much fun to drive.
In Quali I got a good tow on one lap and close to a sub- 3:20 lap, but ended up just short of that.
5th off the line I was, and I had a decent opening, and was up to P4 when Paul spun. Before that happened, Jose had made a spectacular (at least from my view) move on me into T1 which deserves some credit! On my screen he already glitched towards my car as if GPL had detected a collision, but we both got away unscathed.
In the following laps I tried hard to get a move back on Jose... Indeed I owe you a big beer, probably more than that. Very sorry, you really deserved at least a top 5 instead of a DNF.
That happens when you lift and coast into a braking zone to save brakes and keep a safe distance to the car in front, and then forget to actually operate the brakes... Perhaps I thought a bit too much about brake saving.
Tried to flip Jose over because he landed on his roof, but when I successfully did that, I could see that he lost a rear tyre...
After that I tried to just get my head down in my somehow intact car, and was actually able to get some consistent laps with some good and consistent driving, but on two occasions I overpushed it and ended up spinning, and so I came home in just 6th position after fighting back towards the end and getting Quico in the very last lap... Though only because he made a mistake, that could have been his position.
Thanks for organizing and hosting, congrats Gaizka for an outstanding Gordini performance, Enrique for a massive P2 with the fastest lap while keeping track of Gaizka, and Jorge who kept the legacy of the Gordini gang intact, seemingly without any real practice? What a performance!

hola chicos, por fin pude encontrar mi clave y entrar a este chat a responder,
quizás creo que la mejor carrera de toda mi vida en este mod, en especial, por que mi principal rival a vencer era nada menos ni nada mas que el mejor corredor del mundo en gpl, quedar a 6 segundos detrás de el, es mas que pedir, obviamente el massweratti es mas auto que el gordini y yo tenia una ventaja adicional, pero toda la carrera la hice, con 0 errores y eso me dio mucha alegría, ya que de 10 carreras la cago en 9 o sea que las próximas 9 me va a ir mal, jejejeje ( esperemos que no)
tenia para poner un 3 16 en este auto, pero era arriesgar mucho, solo pedía algún ligero error de gaizca, pero no ocurrió, pero llegar 2 es una victoria y eso me dejo muy feliz, por eso me fui a tomar la cerveza que le deben a lasse jejejeje.
felicitaciones jorge por ese 3 lugar y obvio a mr.lopez por su victoria, vamos a ver que pasa en zandvoort.

I was pleased to shave better than a full second off my pre-race trials effort to start P8. I got a reasonable launch off the grid and wondered if I might be able to ace the two Gordinis starting just ahead but they got away very well, too. Martin got position on me for T1 so I let him go. Over the next two laps, I picked up some places as others ahead fell off the road but it all went into the toilet with a prang from Sergio that turned my Maser into a trike. He didn't get off any better as he lost a wheel, too. In scoping the replay cap, if Sergio didn't get me, Paul may well have with a dirt-track, midget-style slide job in the works but I was already hors de combat.
Maybe things will go better in Washington state.
